As an amateur and no regular climber, you just discovered me a new lesson that we can take from climbing and that we can use climbing for. Since i started climbing in nature, i got into long climbings and self rescuing protocols, i thought about the infinite possibilities this sport has to work on psychology and emotions: trustfulness, overcome fears and limits, team spirit, support, responsibility,....

You just gave one and a really important way of looking at it, definitely i'll practice your pause in the upcoming climbing.
