Hey Justin, just another great post. I caught the point of recording progress as really important to stick to a new behavior (habit), but I would like you to clarify me the relevance of the emotional side and to work/use it.

I understood that a way of promoting it is seeing yourself as the person that already is sticked and master the behavior that you want to implement, isn't?

Could be a possibility to reaffirm yourself when you behave as wished, with some kind of sentences/mantras/gratefulness in order to prompt this emotional side and reinforce this wished behavior?

I am just thinking loudly.

I hope that you enjoy holidays ;)

Hola. Yes, for the last months i realized i have to give more relevance to my "elephant", rational side is fine and know the goal, structure and the process, as well is "path".

I reflected recently about the process of growth, and specially its constancy and compromise, as a stair, where you go up couple of steps, and go back some, till you realized that you don't want/can keep the pace because is slowing you a lot. I mean, we (at least me) have turning points through accumulation of "failures" in our growth process and then is when we get a period of compromise and keep on with our plans in a more steady way.

I hope you get my point. Like an inconstant way of progressing, and i examined me and i guess that a lack of involvement of my emotional side has been a great factor. Soo, that's a new resolution for me, in order to let elephant acquire a role in following the path and let the rider breathe a bit , in order to not depend only on his pushes to advance.

Nevertheless, i guess those turning points are useful and needed. What do you think about those moments ? How do you approach this balance between emotional and rational side? Any special tips about constancy?

In Spain, and especially at my town, we enjoy snow and sun, though pandemic measures made me getting involved in civil society more than ever, the chaos and uncertainty brought me the opportunity to come across amazing people and reflections that i keep on an every day basis and already became some of my pillars. I write down here some, just in case you take a glance:

-Jack Kruse a neurosurgeon involved in quantum biology, he gives a crucial point in our health radiations (sunlight, artificial light, wifi, Bluetooth, etc). He is one of the most coherent and "black swan" opinions, i've ever heard.

- Jacques Fresco and Jordan Peterson. I am sure you know the second, i recommend you to look at the first one too.

- Functional Patterns. It is a training methodology, in which i'm being rolled, that is based on tensegrity and mio-fascial links concepts. For me also, the most coherent approach to movement and how to correct dysfunctions, it's founder Naudi Aguilar may sound controversial but for me is "extremely" coherent with his expectations/beliefs, and has great insights.

I hope you are doing well in your new city :D
